INFLORESCENCIA SWEATER

Inspiration

Lacework is my drawing pen. The increases, decreases and the different sts paint across my white canvas. On this occasion, I present to you some wild flowers from a spring field to which you will be transported every time you see it.
Inflorescencia is the Spanish word for inflorescence. The inflorescence is the form in which the flowers sprout and are arranged. Some may look like single flowers, when in fact they are made up of many of them.

Sizes

1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) with final measurement of the sweater after blocking of bust width of 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180) cm/ 35.5 (39.25, 43.25, 47.25, 51.25, 55, 59, 63, 67, 70.75)”. A positive ease of 10-20 cm/ 4-8” is recommended.

Inflorescencia sweater knitting pattern. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of botanically inspired openwork and knit this sweater that will not go unnoticed by anyone.

The pattern is easy to understand, I was 100% guided by the chart and I had no complications in reading and understanding it… I think that’s something that could scare any knitter and it would be my advice to let yourself go and trust the process… moreover, if you find complicated to read the chart, everything is explained in words, which makes it a very friendly pattern.

In the knitting pattern you will find the instructions to knit it in ten sizes  with final measurement of the tee a between 90 and 180 cm / 35.5 and  70.75 in. You can measure a top you really like and choose the nearest size.

Recommendations to Inflorescencia sweater knitting pattern

I do recommend that you have an intermediate level of knitting, so you don’t get frustrated. The lace is formed working always on the right side, which also helps for advanced beginners.

The pattern has been tech edited to check for any mistakes and tested by several testers to make sure they could follow it without any problems.

Construction notes:

Construction notes
The sweater has a seamless raglan construction and is worked from top to bottom. Once the yoke is knitted, the body and then the sleeves are worked separately. At this point you can knit a few short rows to give more height to the back. The pattern consists of the following sections:

  1. Collar
  2. Yoke
  3. Body
  4. Sleeves

What do you need to know?

To knit, purl, make increases and decreases. To work in the round.
There is a detailed description of each stitch. Support videos for difficult stitches are included.

Material

  • Materials
    • Yarn: Ovillova Ninfas – 100gr; 225 m (246 yds). 75% Merino, 25% Silk.
    • Amount: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7 ,8 ,8 ,9, 9) skeins of 100 gr.
    • Total in m: 1125 (1125, 1350, 1350, 1575, 1575, 1800, 1800, 2025, 2025).
    • Total in yds:1230 (1230, 1476, 1476, 1722, 1722, 1968, 1968, 2214, 2214).
    • Other yarn suggestions provided.
    • Circular 3,5 mm (US 4) needles for the body.
    • Circular 3 mm (US 3) needles for the collar and cuff rib.
    • 3,5 mm hook for the bobbles.
    • Markers. A different marker for the BOR.
    • Stitch holder or waste yarn.
    • Tapestry needle.

Gauge

In a 10×10 cm (4×4 in) gauge you should have 20 sts and 26 rounds worked in the round in lace pattern. Gauge worked in Stockinette stitch is 20 sts and 26 rounds.
