UDA TOP – DRESS

Inspiration:
When we play with lacework, we create textures reminiscent of lace from other eras. Summer allows dresses to be worn with lacework creating unique and timeless garments that stand out in the closets of the little ones.

Sizes: (6-12 months, 12-18 months, 2y, 4y)(6y, 8y, 10y, 12y)

See the tabs below for more information on construction notes, level of difficulty, prerequisites, materials and gauge.

Do you feel like knitting something different for the little ones at home? Let me introduce you to this lace knitting pattern for girl.

In the pattern you will find the instructions to make the top or dress from size 6-12 months to size 12 years. You decide if you want to leave it as a top or continue until you have a dress. The little one’s opinion might help you :). My daughter loves the dresses, especially the flounce they have when she twirls.

This pattern is part of my Mini&Me knitting collection in which you will have the version adapted for the little ones  and also for adults. You can find it here.  If you already have one of the two patterns, use the code that appears on the last page and get the other pattern with a 20% discount.

It is a very visual pattern, as it is fully graphed by sizes. On a single sheet you will have all the stitches to knit. There is no row by row description of the instructions. There are only the charts and the stitch description which includes several videos.

I do recommend that you have an intermediate level of knitting, so you don’t get frustrated. The lace is formed with increases and decreases on the right side and the wrong side, so if you are a very beginner, you may find it frustrating and that is the last thing I would like.

The pattern has been tech edited to check for any mistakes and tested by several testers to make sure they could follow it without any problems.

If you want more information go to the construction notes, prerequisites, materials and gauge tabs above.

Happy knitting experience!

Construction notes:

The top is knitted flat. First the back and then the front. The shoulder seams are joined and the neck and sleeve ends are knitted. The side seams are joined and the top is finished.
If you want to knit the dress, pick up the sts at the bottom of the top and work the skirt in the round.
