Construction notes

The beret is worked from the top center down to the lower ribbing, allowing you to try it on as you go if you wish to adjust the fit or if your gauge differs slightly from the pattern. It is worked entirely in the round, always on the right side.

Materials

  • Yarn: 1 skein of Knitting for Olive Merino. 100% merino wool. 50 g / 250 m (273 yds) — fingering weight
  • Scraps of similar yarn for flowers if different colors are desired
  • Circular 3 mm (US 2.5) needles for the beret
  • Circular 2,5 mm (US 1.5) needles for the rib
  • 3 mm hook for the bobbles (optional)
  • 5 Markers. A different marker for the BOR
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

n a 10×10 cm (4×4 in) gauge you should have 27 sts and 36 rounds worked in the round in lace pattern.
