🧶 Nora Tee Knitting Pattern

The Nora Tee is a knitting pattern to create a delicate lace top that will become a timeless wardrobe essential. It’s a piece with soul — one that brings back memories of childhood and will make you proud every time you wear it.

A handmade garment is much more than something to wear. It carries emotions, memories, and stories — where and when you knitted it, who you were with, the yarn you chose, and what you learned along the way.
Moreover, some designs even speak to us before we cast on the first stitch.

✨ A Story That Touches the Heart

One of the testers, @melocoton_crochet, beautifully described the feeling this design evokes:

“Do you know where your sweater takes me? To my childhood, when I watched my grandmother knit with the needles my grandfather made from olive wood. That garment is a wardrobe staple — but one that reaches the soul.”

This quote perfectly captures what makes the Nora Tee so special — a pattern that connects generations through the joy of knitting.

Construction notes:

The top is knitted top down and consists of the following sections:

  1. Front to the armhole. Start at the front, knitting the left side and then the right side while shaping the neck. Then join the front in one piece and start with the central openwork, while completing the height of the armhole.
  2. Back to the armhole. The backside is knitted, in a similar way to the front, until the armhole height is reached.
  3. Joining body, circular work. From the armhole, work the body in the round until you reach the desired length. As you can try it on, you can adjust it to the desired length.
  4. Finishing. The neck edge is finished with an i-cord, picking up the stitches. Knit the lacework on the sides. They are joined to the body as they are knitted, facilitating the final finishing.
