NORA DRESS

Inspiration
The openwork is my drawing pen. The increases, decreases and the different points mark the lines to follow. This time I was inspired to look for an openwork that was present in the straps, looking for a suitable transition in the front.

Recommendations for enyoing Nora dress lace straps knitting pattern

I do recommend that you have an intermediate level of knitting, so you don’t get frustrated. If you are a very beginner, you may find it frustrating and that is the last thing I would like.

The pattern has been tech edited to check for any mistakes and tested by several testers to make sure they could follow it without any problems.

Construction notes:

The dress is worked in the round up to the beginning of the armhole and then knitted flat, the front and then the back. Skirt is worked in lace pattern and top in twisted 1×1 rib. Once knitted, the shoulder seams are joined and the neck and sleeve ends are worked with a picot bind off.

What do you need to know?

To knit and purl, increase and decrease, and work in the round. Lacework is charted and included as Row by Row instructions. I include a video to help you with charts if it is your first time. Support videos available for some stitches.

  • Yarn: Katia Cotton-Alpaca– 50gr; 150m (164yds). 85% cotton, 15% alpaca
  • Amount: 3 (3, 4, 5, 6, 6) skeins of 50 gr
  • Total in meters: 450 (450, 600, 750, 900, 900) m
  • Total in yds: 492 (492, 656, 820, 984, 984) yds
  • Other yarn suggestions
  • 4 mm (US 6) circular needles
  • 14 Markers
  • Waste yarn or stitch holders
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

In a 10×10 cm (4×4 in) gauge you should have 20 sts and 26 Rnds worked in the round in Stockinette stitch.
